Due to fluctuating fuel costs and in order to promote sustainability in logistics, our partners levy a diesel and e-mobility surcharge (fuel surcharge) for commercial road transports, among other things. The fuel surcharge is based on the one hand on the current diesel price and on the other hand on the partners' commitment to e-mobility.

The energy surcharge (fuel surcharge) is our response to short-term changes in energy costs that are beyond our control. The percentage surcharge on the shipment price is based on the currently valid energy mix of an average shipment and takes into account the weighted rates of change of the following three indices:

• Diesel: Erzeugerpreisindex Diesel Großverbraucher (GP19 20 26 005 2) Excel-Tabellenblatt 61241-01

• Gas: Erzeugerpreisindex Erdgas Gewerbe (GP09-3522 22) Excel-Tabellenblatt 61241-01

• Strom: Erzeugerpreisindex Strom Sondervertragskunden (GP09-3511 14/15) Excel-Tabellenblatt 61241-01

We only pass on the increases to you if the weighted rate of change exceeds 20%; the surcharge is changed no more than once a month. Please refer to the tables below for the exact thresholds and applicable surcharges.

The basis for calculating the surcharge in each case is the average index for the year 2021.
